Continuing to Supply Chain During Lockdown and Post Brexit

During the current lockdown which commenced on 5, January and following the UK’s departure from the EU on 31, January 2020, Donghua Limited is continuing to supply chain to their UK-wide network.

The Midlands based company, which was established in 2009 in the UK, has been operating with enhanced hygiene practices during the COVID pandemic, ensuring frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch areas, introducing one way systems on-site with staff operating at two metres social distancing where practicable. The Sales office staff are working remotely where possible, continuing to support customers with technical and sales support.

Donghua has a huge 25,000 square foot warehouse at their Wolverhampton headquarters which is kept well-stocked with weekly container deliveries from China and Europe and they foresee minimal issues with the continued supply of standard Chain products within the UK.

Bob Wellsbury, managing director of Donghua Limited, explains: “We have ten years’ experience organising weekly shipments of Chain from our colleagues in Europe and from our manufacturing HQ in China so are well versed with the timescales and logistics involved and manage our stock levels accordingly.”

He added: “Our UK-wide network of Approved Product Partners and Stockists carry large stocks of Donghua Chain and will continue to fulfil their end-user orders during lockdown. Our UK workshop, which boasts unrivalled engineering and tooling facilities in the sector, enables bespoke and universal Attachment Chain to be built in-house so we can continue to supply special Chain orders.”

Despite the effect of the pandemic on the UK and world-wide economies, Donghua Limited continues to expand and are introducing new Chain products to the UK market this year.
