From CE to UKCA marking: Raising the Standard in Chain Manufacturing

At Donghua, we have always set ourselves apart by meeting and exceeding the highest international standards in chain production. With the UK’s departure from the EU, the familiar CE Marking is being replaced across Great Britain by UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking, although businesses currently have the flexibility to use UKCA and/or CE marking when selling products in Great Britain. This ensures that products placed on the UK market meet strict safety, quality, and performance standards.

Previously, our Leaf Chains were etched with CE marking, but they now carry UKCA marking alongside a unique batch number plate, giving our customers full traceability and confidence in our products.

Currently, just four chain manufacturers (including Donghua) etch their chains with CE marking or UKCA marking and three of them are well-known names in the chain industry.

Why marking matters

The requirements for UKCA marking assessment demands stringent processes, traceability, and compliance at every stage of manufacture. Many companies simply don’t have the production capability to achieve this. At Donghua, we believe UKCA marking demonstrates more than compliance.
