Traditionally, each chain manufacturer has designed and built attachments unique to them, making it impossible to replace with a different make. However, Donghua’s new Universal Attachments are designed so they replace many other chain manufacturer’s attachments.
Our attachment chain is available in 3/8” to 2”, WK1 / K1 / K2 / M1 / M2 and extended pin attachments in British and American standards. Including extended pitch chains from 1/2” to 2” pitch in Standard, Nickel Plated, Coated, Maintenance Free and Stainless Steel.
Because our Universal Attachment Chains are assembled, measured & matched and pre-loaded in our UK workshop, common builds are held in stock for immediate delivery. Or check-out our 24 hour Express/Emergency delivery & 48 hour Premium delivery service. Loose attachments are held for in-house built chains, pre-loaded and matched to customer’s requirements to within close tolerances using our sophisticated measuring equipment.
Our Universal Attachment Chain is assembled in the UK within our chain workshop in the West Midlands. We have invested in a chain length measuring machine, accurate to within 10 microns per metre and capable of measuring up to five metres of chain. Longer lengths can be supplied matched and tagged. All matched chain comes with a Certificate of Authenticity on request. In addition, our fully automated pre-load machine, designed by Donghua, eliminates any initial elongation. It improves service and fatigue life of in-house built attachment chains.
This chart illustrates the benefits of pre-loading chain to gain additional service life. Chain that has little or no pre-load applied will experience a significant amount of elongation during initial start-up of the drive before levelling off. The chain will then elongate at a steady rate until the case hardness on the wearing components is gone and the chain experiences rapid elongation.
Donghua chain that has been properly pre-loaded experiences very little elongation during initial start-up which ultimately results in extended service life.
