A Chain Length Measuring machine makes Donghua Limited one of the few manufacturers in the UK to own such advanced equipment. Designed and built in-house, the machine delivers exceptional accuracy, measuring to within 10 microns per metre (a human hair is 80-100 microns), and can measure chains up to five metres in length.
The Chain Length Measuring machine ensures precise chain lengths for accurate installation. First, the chain is registered in the computer system and pins are added to both ends to secure the chain in place. Pulling a level applies the required tension, allowing the machine to measure and record the exact chain length. This process is repeated for each 5 metres of chain and for longer lengths of chain, sections are manually connected to achieve the required total length.
